Does anybody have anything in the works to convert a batch capture text file, to the non-textfile .sfvidcap that sonic foundry uses?? huh??!!? pleeezee!!!
Bump This topic went way down the list in a day. Maybe somebody missed it.
This has also been posted to the scripting forum, though it's not a scripting issue. Got a few responses, but the problem remains.
I've been asking for some kind of export feature (txt, excel, lotus - even printing the database would be great) from the sfvidcap file (it's a rudimentary database file, I presume) for quite a while - SF has informed me that it cannot currently be done, but they are looking at it as a future feature. Nothing in the vidcap is available to scripting, either, but may be in the future. A workaround is to open vidcap, maximize the list you want on your desktop, and copy/paste to another program, and print from there. See this thread:
For my purpose I don't need exporting. If there was just a way to take the file header info, merge it with a set of numbers and letters for each clip, and tack on some file closing info, that would satisfy me. It's not brain surgery, but I just don't have the time right now to decode the filetype and learn another programming language. (I used to own Amiga computers and wrote some scripts that are still being used at my old workplace.) Maybe I'll try REBOL again.
