Batch capture using text file info?

I'd love to find a capture program/utility that can perform batch capture from my DV Camcorder based on timecode specs that are in a text file.

My workflow:

I use Sony VMS Platinum, and I currently use the Vidcap program that comes with (always with batch capture). Timecode is continuous on all my tapes because I stripe them ahead of time (I think that's the term; i.e., I run each tape through the camcorder in Record mode with the lens cap on and a plug in the external mic jack.)

I catalogue all my tapes in a little database program I wrote (with tape name, start and end time in h:mm:ss;frames, and comments).

So when it's time to batch capture, I just load up VMSP, launch the capture program, and type in the start and end times (and tape and clip names) and then "log" them. Then I initiate the batch capture.

Since I already have in my database all the requisite data for batch capturing, I'd love to simplify my workflow by using a capture program that could do its thing based on that data.

Have I made any sense?

Is such a capture utility out there somewhere?

TIA,
Jeff
