Batch Converter 5.0

Anybody tried this yet?

(Please tell me if I'm missing something here...)

I'm disappointed the Batch Converter (BC) can't handle Vegas Video project files. Seems like SF could have added this easy enough. No, I don't want to render in VV just to import it into the BC. It's a step I shouldn't have to do.

And for those of us who need to render to multiple formats (Windows Media Player and Real in my case), I'm also disappointed it won't convert to more than one format from the same script.

I sure hope I'm wrong, but the solution I have been waiting for isn't BC.

The latter problem, rendering into multiple formats, can be solved "easily" by running two scripts. Of course, you have to be there to start the next script once the first one has finished...

I haven't used SF 5.0 myself yet so I'm not sure, but if multiple instances of Sound Forge 5.0 can be running simultaneously (like Vegas), you could try running the two scripts at one go like that.

Yeah. Vegas project batch exporting would, like, rule. I'm doing voice-overs for a computer game, and it has hundreds of small sound snippets, each a separate project. Vegas was the perfect tool for everything else, but rendering the projects into wavs is a grunt chore.
