Batch Converter Problems

I got the Batch Converter with my original purchase of Vegas Video 3.0. I've use it quite extensively. I now upgraded to Vegas 4.0.

I did some cleanup work on my computer - removing things I no longer use, archiving to CD etc. I uninstalled Vegas 3.0 since I now use 4.0 - now Batch Convertor will not allow me to convert to mpeg1 files! I tried uninstalling Batch Converter, and reinstalling - no luck - same thing. I tried uninstalling Vegas 4,0 and Batch Convertor - installing Vegas 4,0 - then Batch Converter - still no luck. I tried Uninstalling everything again then this time installing Vegas 3.0, then 4.0, then batch convertor - and you guessed it - STILL DOESN'T WORK!

I can render to mpeg1 files just fine in Vegas - but I like to be able to convert multiple files.

ANYONE HAVE A CLUE HERE? Gee that is what I get for uninstalling old product but this should not happen.

help anyone?

Do you have windows XP or ME?

If so have you tried system restore?

If you uninstalled something that batch converter needed unintentionally you will get it back. It does not always work but it has proven very useful for me when I have a problem with my system and can't figure out what I installed or uninstalled to cause it.

It is worth a try, the only drawback is that programs you uninstalled will return. The data files you remove are not affected, it only saves program files.
