batch edit of a bunch of stills? (more noob questions)

suppose I drop in a couple dozen still images to a track or tracks.

is there an easy way to adjust them ALL to being only 2 seconds in length?

what about seperating them all by 1 second each?

and what about assigning the same lead and exit transitions?

and what about assigning the same pan/crop to them all?

(I don't want to ask too many questions.. you all have been very helpful already)

Options / Preferences / Editing tab... a few of your questions get their answers there...
For the rest, there are numerous scripts. You should get feedback soon and while waiting, you could do a search with "script" as keyword or go onto the VASST.com Vegas help site in the Scripts section...

And a *transition* is *not* a *fade* so it implies you have TWO clips "transitionning" one from the other so I guess you'd have to insert blacks between your stills to get these lead and exit transitions... ; )

If they're already on the timeline, the EASIEST way is by using Excalibur.

I have created a named pan/zoom and right now still have to click on each image.. and there are hundreds.

The scripts to adjust event length, overlap and to provide a gpa were easy to find and use.

Anyone know of a script for pan/zoom batch adjustment?

[EDIT: I think I just stumbled on what I needed to do.. I am using a split screen showing still images on either side of the screen. In fact, i altered an example from VASST which split it into 3 sections but am using left and right with the middle RARELY being used.

So, it seems what I needed to do was alter teh TRACK MOTION numbers for width and height.. and I had to make them SMALLER so that the images would leave a decent amount of black space around them.

This is much simpler than adjusting the pan/crop for all the images.

My sources for these images are small (off the web for a tiral project) and I thought that by showing them small on split screen I can pick up the pace and not show poor images full-screen]
