Batch encode/render?

I'm eval'ing VV3 for purchase by our company. One of the questions my manager asked about the product is whether it can batch encode. I haven't seen any mention in the manual or online about batch encoding/batch rendering of multiple passes on a project (i.e. render for different fixed bitrates for streaming on our website). Is this possible with Vegas Video 3?

I haven't seen anything like this in the documentation, but I suppose you could just open multiple copies of VV3 (which others have reported works very well), set each one for what you want, start the renders, and then go get some coffee...
