Batch Or Queue DVD Architect

Hello...

I'm guessing that it's been there for years, but I just noticed the option to burn a DVD as an ISO file (I've been using the prepare directory and just keeping those files for production).
I can even create ISO files from those old prepare directories.
I have about 80 of those directories and I would like to batch or queue them for ISOs.
I would rather not do one, wait 10 minutes, do another, wait 10 minutes, etc..., when I could batch it (or, at least, queue them) and let it run overnight.
Is there any functionality for this?

Thanks...
JJ

DVDA does not have batch capability, but I wonder, since you just want to create an ISO image, if there is other software that can take a directory and make an ISO. I am not sure if it would need to be a DVD aware software or just any software capable of creating an ISO. You could search for some (probably some free ones) and test to make sure they create a DVD compatible ISO and if they can batch.

That may be true...

To my knowledge, there is nothing special about DVDs (just a data disc).
Red Book audio CDs are special, though.

A DVD is actually specific. You can't just copy the directory to a disk and expect it to perform correctly. Software like IMGBURN knows a DVD directory and creates a DVD compatible disk. A Bluray on the other hand is less specific and is more of a DATA disk. I don't know if IMGBURN has batch. I use it to make all of my DVD burns and ISOs from other disks like CDs.

heh, look what I found

Hmmm...

It seems like I've just copied the contents from one and burned them on another without incident.

Now, if it's copyrighted material, that wouldn't work.

All of mine isn't, though.

I didn't say it COULDN'T work, just that you can't always expect it to work. The DVD does need to be created with DVD aware software to guarantee it will work. Just copying is no guarantee.

It will also depend upon the player. Some can read data discs and give you a list of playable files. So @doubleJ you need to try your discs on several different DVD and Blu-ray players to ensure they always work.
