Batch render AVI multichannel audio

HI there,

I want to render 4channel MXF files (a lot of them) into single AVI + 4 channel Audio files. Thought Batchrender (Vegas script) would do the job .

Usualle, you setup 2 Audio Busses (stereo each) and route the dedicated audio (MXF stereo ch1+2 ) to "A" and (ch 3+4) to "B".

Going to "render as" you have to activate "mutlichannel" option, then you can assign "A"->1&2 , "B->3&4" (or other combinations) , also the AVI preset (PAL DV WIDE in my case) must be changed to "AUDIO : 4 channel).

Doing this manually thru "render as" works fine - the results are nice avi files with embedded 4channel audio - fine.

Batch render does NOT work proper - it looks like the multichannel mappings are not rendered correctly - it sums up all audio into CH1. CH2, 3 , 4 are unusable - there is simply no audio in it or there is just a black bar to see (full Gain at all samples).

Anyway, I already talked to a german script writer who doesnt know if this can be adressed by a script.

So I am coming to you.

I do Vegas Presentations and want to render multichannel audio MXFs (XDCAM HD) to SD friendly AVI versions. "render as" works fine, so there should be a way to batch render the files by creating regions. For now, the audio export does not work...

If any questions, I could prepare and uload a small veggie to demonstrate.

Thanks

ULI
