batch time adjust?

Is there a way to adjust the time length on some or all of the pictures in a slideshow? I am trying to get them to match the music.

In the preferences I think under editing you can set default picture time before you drag to timeline. After on timeline select all the events you want to adjust length on and group together. Right click group, create new. Then you can change the duration of all with control edge, slow motion or fast. hope I'm clear enough.

Not exactly clear. I created a group but when I grab the edge of the group to make it longer it only changes the time on the end photo.

if they are grouped hold control then touch the edge and you should see a small wavy line under the small square then drag or shorten
