Batchrender Pro exception begins

I have been using Batchrender Pro for some time without a problem. After paying the $30 to unlock rendering capability in Quicktime Pro (version 7 now), I am getting the following result:

NOTE THAT THIS OCCURS ONLY IN VEGAS 5D, NOT IN VEGAS 6C:

On starting Batchrender Pro within Vegas 5d:
“At least one Vegas template or a codec caused an error.”
Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004E08.”

Clicking OK generates:
“ERROR
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index.”

Closing that window generates:
“Batchrender Pro
An unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. Click continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.”

Clicking on ‘Details’ button gives the following exception text:
--------------------------------
"See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog."

---------------------------------
On trying to load any .veg file into Batchrender Pro, there is nothing shown in the drop-down menus for file format or template.

I have no capability in scripting. Any ideas on whether this can be related to the Quicktime update? I don't know what to reinstall, tweak or delete. I have both Vegas 5d and Vegas 6c installed on a standard WinXP Home, Dell machine (P4) and the only other recent change is the auto-Windows Update prompt to install another group of those endless fixes for "An unscrupulous outsider could take over your system."

In case you're wondering I'm trying to use Batchrender Pro in Vegas 5c because I don't trust 6c any more--it always hangs on my long renders and I had to get a feature-length DV film project finished.

Assuming this is the one by Roger Magnussen, you may have to get a different one (such as the one found in the Veggie Toolkit or just use the one included with Vegas or any of the other free ones that are available). I have been unable to locate Roger for quite some time and his website is no longer available.

For the last year I have been feeling the effects of a car accident that happened a few years ago. Someone ran into my car from behind and I got whiplash.

It wasn't too bad at first, but focusing my eyes became slow and as a result my stomach isn't too happy. Concentrating became hard too. Of course, insurance companies will just tell you you're lying about it.

During all this, I (an old man of 31...) am going through the Swedish equivalent of college so I have had to put all my energy (or non-energy) on that. Editing and programming became a pain and the stress was just too great.

Anyway, a change of diet, physical therapy and some weightloss has lessened the worst of the effects and I'm slowly beginning to come back to normal life.

If you want to contact me, write to roger.magnusson at gmail.com (temporary until my website is back up).

I'll see if I can replicate your problem vitalforce.

Updates are coming, but I won't give a time estimate. :-)
