Drat! Was optimistic that the latest maintenance release of Boris Continuum ( 2023.5, v16.5.3) might have enabled BCC+ effects in Vegas Effects. But it hasn't; still crashes to desktop if you try to use.
Given that at no point have either Vegas or BorisFX claimed that Continuum is supported in Vegas Effects I think we are lucky that the standard BCC effects work at all, let alone the BCC+ effects - but I live in hope ... maybe one day ...

That probably sums up the situation. Vegas Effects being sourced from HitFilm and being a trimmed down version of HitFilm Pro, it would be expected that all or most of BCC would work in Vegas Effects if HitFilm Pro were a supported host for BCC/BCC+. Unfortunately, HitFilm Pro is not a supported host for BCC/BCC+ ( https://borisfx.com/products/continuum/?collection=continuum&product=continuum&host=adobe&purchase-options=annual-subscription#specs )
Well, using the latest version of Continuum on my system with Vegas Effects, BCC+Looks (1st screenshot), Orbs (2nd screenshot), Smoke have all worked flawlessy. Mind you, I am still using an old AMD graphics driver, 22.5.1.
No crashing either saving to the timeline.
And effect you want me to try?
