BD Issue

I just rendered a 17 minute HD video in Vegas 11 using the MPEG2 BlueRay format that matched (equaled) the captured media but have been unable to burn it in DVDA 5.2.

I keep getting a message to "Insert a writeable disc". Machine is a Dell XPS, Intel I7, 16mb memory, BD burner, etc. so there shouldn't be any issues.

The Help file says to go to File>Make BluRay Disc>Burn but I do not see an option in the file menue for BluRay -- just File>Make Disc. Am I missing something here?

Is your DVD Architect project set up for BluRay?

Go to the File menu and check your Properties.

Are you able to create an .iso file on your hard drive as a Prepared File?

I'm not sure of the value of outputting a file of exactly the same specs as your camcorder file if you're going to create a BluRay from it. Better to output a video that's in the same format and specs as a BluRay file so that DVD ARchitect doesn't have to spend hours re-rendering it.

Did you set the project properties to Blu-ray?

Missed that one! Have reset properties to BluRay and was able to burn the project without incident.

Thank you!
