BD-re works on PS3 doesn't it??

This is a strange one I'm having problems trouble shooting.

I just burned a test disk on BD-re with DVDa. It works fine on the computer but fails on the PS3. It starts with a short 30 second intro then goes on to a title menu with 2 title choices.

When played on the PS3 the intro works fine (it's the disk start item), but then after the intro is done it does not advance to the main title menu. It just sits there doing nothing. It's like there is no link from the intro to the menu. None of the remote buttons like FF, rewind...etc.

I have gone through my entire project in DVDa looking for some broken link and have found nothing. I've looked at the project simulation, and it works fine. I have even tested the BD-re playback on the computer and it checks out fine. It's JUST with the PS3 that this problem pops up.

The ONLY thing I can think of at this point is a BD-re compatibility issue... although I have yet to test a BD-r..... but I would rather NOT waste a disk!

Has anybody had any compatibility issues with the PS3 and BD-re??

I should add that there MAY be one other compatibility issue to blame. My title menu FADES IN. I have used keyframing (in "crop and adjust") on the title menu to control the alpha levels. The initial alpha level starts at zero and is keyframed to to fade UP to full alpha in the first ten seconds of the menu. Would this be a problem for the PS3??

BD-RE works perfectly for me on PS3.
Authored with Corel DVD MovieFactory 6+ and 7.
Burned with Nero 8 or ImgBurn.
Use Panasonic, TDK, and Fujifilm BD-REs.

Blink, don't use DVDA for burning. DVDA is know for burning problems.

I have not had any issues whatsoever burning with DVDA5 onto BD-RE or BD-R Media, all play perfectly with my PS3, I also have no issues using Nero 8, and Pinnacle 12....You might check and make sure your Blu-ray burner and PS3 have the latest Firmware updates.....The latest for the PS3 is V2.53 ......

Interesting.
Maybe what I'll try is burning the ISO with something else and see if that helps. I would like to TRY and stick with DVDa at least for the project creation. DVDa allows me to fade the title menu in and it works well for subtitle tracks.

The best burning application for ISO image is ImgBurn. Period.

I burned the ISO with nero, mf6, and imageburn and I get the same thing. I think I'll start another thread because I don't think this has anything to do with BD-re disks. Thanks anyway.
