BDMV --> USB Stick Via Vp8 Timeline?

I wanted to see if anybody tried this? With a PS3 you can play M2T files via a memory stick through the USB ports. If you can do that, I would suspect you could potentially play the footage not from a disc but from a stick?

If no one posts any results, I will give it a try soon and see what happens. That could be an easy way of proofing footage without having to waste discs if it works.

I do it all the time with an $80 8 gig thumb drive. It works great.

I do it direct with straight M2T files, but I was wondering if it works with the image file. Are you able to do that? Thanks for the feedback Laurence.

By the way, do you still have the 2 black frame issue in Vp8?

jrazz,
Watch for my post soon. The default bit-rate is 15MBS, that is rather high.
You can manually create these files and tailor your own bit-rates.
The PS3 can be picky but usually if the PS3 doesn't play the video there's something not quite compliant.
I just made a 10 minute avchd.m2ts with dolbe 2/0 encoded at 10MBS. Plays on the PS3 nice.

I'll post soon as a new topic how I did this in the trial of Vegas 8.
