looking into keyboard with jog/shuttle, or maybe standalone jog/shuttle.

fine on timeline, but do they work in capture? can i jog/shuttle tape transport?

I use my Contour Shuttle Pro for Vid Capture within V5. No problem! I can even go Frame Accurate - using the inner shuttle wheel.

However, and with my recent experiments on video capture in general, I just capture whole lumps of "takes" and then delete what I don't wont. This way I'm not over using that precious tape AND making undue work for my DV deck - yeah? Shuttling on capture . .well ok . . but be warned that it COULD cause you problems on the mechanical side AND you might end up with that preciously filmed event being lost due to tape rolling around and whatever - Bob "farss" made me see the light on this one! Now I just capture and delete from HD that which I don't wont.

I use a bella keyboard and its nice to have. The extra Usb ports are handy too. Don't use it much on tape transfer, unless storage is a problem. Works with my laptop or workstation.
