bella keyboards save time, help you memorize the keyboard shortcuts, AND, if you ever do a multi cam (just one) you'll never look back. It's just too well worth it.

I find that I use the trimmer more and more as I am trying to keep my time line a little simpler. I set the pref so that when I double click i just add it to my trimmer. Then I use my bella jog shuttle In and Out point keys (right next to the built in jog shuttle wheel) to select my section and I hit "a" or click and drag it to the appropriate area (not to mention the fact that with all those keyboard shortcuts are right in front of you now so hey, you don't need to spend the time that you don't have to memorize the keyboard shortcuts and then find that you still sit there wondering, hmmmm what was that key again?. I love mine, and I highly suggest it.

Trimmer.

Keeps the timeline FREE for Multi-Layer work, and then Render to New Track for in-fills

Use them [ , and, ] options. To Cursor and From Cursor up there on the Timeline.

Most people DON;T start using trimmer - I didn't. Now, with its super-fast "SCRUB 'n DUMP" ( my words!) option is fast to keep my OWN story line and attention span going. So, if MY attention span is kept, augers well for the audience!

Trimmer - the ONLY way to tell an unfolding story!

. . ps. Did I say I liked the Trimmer?

Don't know about the Bella keyboards but I have a Worldtech one. It looks great with its lollipop keys BUT it is horrible as a keyboard. I spend a lot of time typing chapter names into markers, entering track names in CDA and tags into mp3 files and this keyboard drives me NUTS with it's clunky keys.

As I have a Shuttle the keyboard short cuts don't get used much and there's so many legends on the keyboard trying to figure out which one is Alt+, Ctl+ Alt+Ctl+Shift is to much pain to use. The few shortcuts I do use are slowly sinking into the grey matter so I don't need the lollipop keyboard anyway.

So no matter which one of these keyboards you go for, my suggestion is to checkout how good the basic keyboard is first.

My bella doesn't have clunky keys and it only has one list of shortcuts (assuming that it's because they didn't want to make it all crazy). Just check out the bella DVKeyboard 3.0 on their site. That's what I'm using and it's a great KB.
