Best file type to work in HD in Sony Vegas?

Hi all, first time user.

I have a blackmagick decklink card which basically allows my PC to capture live SDI HD video from my camera like a DVR.

It offers the following formats:

JPEG, DVCPRO HD, DV, HDV.

The res is 1080p in 10 bit color.

So which file format is best to use within Sony Vegas?

I'm new to this, so I don't want to lose much picture quality as the destination is going to be blu-ray.

I presume it's HDV but want to double check.

The best format, where you will lose the least quality and is fast to edit, is Cineform. There's no point using a BlackMagic card just to force a 25mbps mpeg2 HDV resolution at 1440x1080 that loses a TON of quality. If you're going to go Blackmagic, do the workflow right, and shell the cash to get Cineform.

I doubt my PC can handle recording uncompressed etc.

Cineform is not uncompressed. It's much faster to encode than mpeg2 too.
