Best image sequence format?

Hi All,

Anyone know what is the best image sequence format for Vegas(8&9)?? (a lossless format)
i.e. 750 frames of targa/tiff/png/etc being imported into Vegas to give the best responsiveness on the time line.

Does vegas like one format better than the others?

PNG or Targa.
I've used both without any issues whatsoever.

I wasnt aware that Vegas 8 supported a lossless image sequence format. TIFF maybe. It "likes" PNG but I don't because of gamma issues. Targa has some great features including more color depth than other options. In Vegas 9, I'd use DPX or EXR for very specialized applications.

PNG or TGA. Then, if those aren't an option, BMP. But no tiff, that requires quicktime. jpg is to compressed.
