Hi. I have a 1920*1080i timeline in Final Cut Pro 6. The codec is Pro-Res. I will be using compressor to create a blu-ray compatible file to author a blu-ray disc in DVD Author 5. What is the best format to import? Mpeg 2 elementary, program or transport stream. The audio would be in ac3 (2ch). This is my first blu-ray disc. I have used Vegas Pro 7 and DVD Architect a lot in the past. I own but do not use Vegas Pro 8 much (found it less stable than 7). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Exporting as H.264 from FCS2 is likely to be problematic. Therefore it will have to be mpeg2, or transcode under windows vista 32-bit (not ideal)
