OK, being a newbie around here, first I apologise for asking for method help as opposed to a specific problem with vegas.
There again, I guess this is what the forum is for so here goes.
I have finished capturing around 50 minutes of DV, which is split up into around 25 avi clips of DV.
I have put all clips into vegas and added a timecode. I am now rendering entire 50 mins to DVD to give to my friend so he can decide which bits he wants in the final video, which is to be around 20 mins.
When he brings back a list of sections to be included, what is the best method for grouping just these clips together without duplicating clips, taking up more HD space?
Should I be creating sub-clips of these bits and opening a new project with them?
Should I just snip the relevant bits and copy them to a new video track?
I still need to see the timecode on the entire (25 or so) clip in order to reference the material.
Basically, how would you go about this task?
I suspect you will all have your preferred methods, but posting them here for me, would at least save me from going down unecessarily tedious routes and over complicating things.
References to tutorials and the like would be most welcome.
Thanks very much,
Kev
