Best options for Rendering....

I have been trying to render a Audio/Video project in Vegas 2.0 but continue to get "blotchy" audio. It......Goes......Like.......This.......With.....Spaces......

In and Out constantly! Also it renders another copy of the file that is only 30secs but also has "blotchy" audio. The project is only 2 minutes but the Render took 20 minutes!!!

I would just like to render it to .AVI or .MOV but it is not working! Is there something I should be looking at?

I have a 1.2Ghz Athlon Processor that blazes through Premiere, Media Studio Pro, SoundForge, Acid, and audio only projects in Vegas. This is the first video project I will be doing using Vegas.
Everything appears to go so much faster in Vegas and I would really like to swap over (if it will work). Please Help!!!

Thanks in advance,
Lamont

Oh yeah, ---- It seems like Vegas always breaks up the "final" render into multiple parts. I tried to render a 1 hour project. After it took 4 hours to render, it rendered it into 2 parts. I then had to open both of these in Premiere so that I could burn the project from the timeline onto mini DV.
Is there an option in VEGAS that will allow me to burn my project from the timeline to a miniDV recorder? (It gets old having to open another program to do what this one is supposed to do.)

Thank you!

Vegas Video 3 will burn the timeline directly to MiniDV. I don't think Vegas 2.0 has that capability.

Your two part rendering is probably because you are using FAT32 as your file system for you computer. It has a 4GB limit on files size. Moving to an operating system that uses NTFS "cures" that.

To record your project directly to miniDV use the Print Video to DV Tape selection of the Tools pulldown of VV3 (don't know about VV2). I just printed a 2.5 HOUR instructional video right from the timeline. No Problem. (oh, man...when it works right <Grin>)
