It's a scam, as are all of those GREAT SAVINGS sites. Come on, if it's too good to be true, it is. Who do you know that's going to shave 50% off the price of a new... anything???
If you ask these guys with the deep price cuts they are grey market product.
...and that's not even the worst sometimes. No U.S. warranty is bad enough, but missing parts (that were included in the manufacturer's package, but that you are now offered as an "upsell"), that's even more goofy sometimes.
...and even that is not the worst. The worst is getting your credit card charged and then a) getting no product ever, and b) having to fight for months to get your money back.
I did it too, 20 years ago, buying from Brooklyn hustlers over the phone based on cool ads in the back of magazines.
Note that they may say, "Oh, don't believe'em! It's got a U.S. warranty! Just send it to us and we'll fix it!"
So they send it overseas to wherever they bought it, and then with luck it will be returned fixed, and your dealer will still be in business under the same name...
Everything you reac in the replies is true. It is a crime that these blood sucking ticks are in business. To be safe check this site for the name of any "sounds too good to be true seller" as it usually is to good to be true and it usually ends up bad for anyone trying to save a buck.
