Best render format for a high quality music playlist?

I have made a music playlist with some moving background images, and I am trying to find the best format to render it in that doesn't affect the quality of the audio too much and renders the video in HD.

I tried using HD 1080-60i (1920x1080, 29.970fps), but this ends up as a huge file (about ten gb per hour).

Any suggestions?

What is the final end-user format? (DVD, BluRay, YouTube,, other online streaming ect.) The file format and codec kind of dictates which type of audio or encode can be used. If it has to be a lossy format such as AAC, AC-3, ect, use a high bit rate setting of 320kbps.. or higher if possible.

The source flies should have been ripped or recorded as PCM (.wav or .aif) to start with. If they're MP3s, re-rendering to a uncompressed PCM format, will not increase the quality. At best, it would be the same.
