Best render template for dance concert

Hello,
I'm making a DVD for a dance concert, where the first part of the routine is a video projection on stage, and then the screen lifts and the rest of the routine is performed live.

The original music track in the Vegas 7 project is a .wav file.

I usually render audio in Vegas as .ac3 file using stereo DVD template and use DVDA 4.5 to make DVD.

Since the rest of the audio for the concert will use music CD's, I just want to ensure my audio from the DVD sounds just as good!
So my question is: should I be using a different render template?
Any tips or advise you can offer would be appreciated!

Thank you
Paige

If you follow the same process with your CD audio as your other project audio it will sound the same. Rip it into vegas as wav, export with your template to ac3.
If you want improvements in audio quality try a higher bit rate ac3. Another suggestion is to avoid AGC. This is an auto volume process as part of some ac3 templates.
Good Luck,
Jesse

Thanks Jesse for your help,
I'm not making the CD audio for the concert - just a DVD for one number. I'm assuming that CD audio quality is better than what's usually on DVD?
I'll look at trying a higher bit rate for ac3 audio as you suggested, also can you let me know what AGC is?
Thanks again
Paige

Not necessarily.

Render as AC-3 Studio, the DVD template with AGC off, you won't notice any difference in quality.

Hope this answers your question.
AGC is "Automatic Gain Control" and you really don't need to know anything about it or consider using it.
