Best Rendering

Just been reading some of the excellent information & support over at JetDV.

Something that interested me was a remark on using the Best option when rendering in that it is only meant to be used for photos and not video footage (something to do with bicubic thingies).

I have been using the Best option for some time and will now avoid it unless I have photos included.

Now, should I have a project that is mainly video with a few photos if I use best then I will be increasing render times for the video just for a few minutes of photos.

Would it be advisable to render the photos to another track at Best quality (DV) then render the whole project at Good while disabling or deleting the original photos' events? Or is there another solution?

Cheers

I would simply keep rendering to best,,, I know, makes no difference on this or that or that other thing,, but gotta say, i do like the word best and if there was a better than best, then I would render to that

Best should only affect the rendering process when the image is being resized. Therefore, it shouldn't make any difference while rendering video to the same size video. Therefore .... it shouldn't hurt to use it even when the project contains very few photos.

In practice, i've noticed that best still takes a bit longer, but not enough to lose any sleep over. I pretty much have my setting nailed at best too.
