Jon

To help everyone get to your links easier add a square backets link= before the http:// and sqaure bracket / link square brackets where the square brackets is replaced by this character [ at the head then ] at the tail. See the posting " New Markup for Forum Posts" at the top of the forum listing for help on links and formatting.

You'll then get this http://www.amazon.com/gp/remote-comparison?ie=UTF8&ASIN.1=B001705UKW&ref_=pd_ybh_comp&HASH(0x61365d24)=&ASIN.2=B001701TGQ&ASIN.3=B0016ZY2SY&bf=0

I'd tend to go for the VCL-HG1737C from Sony. The ones on Amazon are made by Raynox. Only checked the first one but it appears it will not fit your camera which has a 37mm thread and none of the supplied adaptors go down to that thread size. Might be a clue there as to how well it'll perform.

I think I would go for the Sony one too.

I had some trouble with my Canon HF100, which also has 37 mm front.

I wanted wanted the same kind of lens, but the canon one was in backlog all over, so I bought another brand from B&H just to learn that I could not zoom through it....

I have a Canon now, and it is fine.
