best USB mike for podcasting

A friend wants to start to podcasting.

He is often going to want to be watching video when he does it. He is not making money from, so it's a tight budget.

What USB mikes are usuable?

Pretty much any of them work as well as any other.

BeyerDynamic MMX1 is $99 at for example BSW (bswusa.com). Good headset and mic, just plug in and don't worry about positioning your head perfectly while watching the video. Very high quality and easy to use.

Blue SnowBall has been recommended here also. It's a mic only (with great sound), for 50% more money, and it will need more skill and patience.

I'm a fan of the Samson, believe it or not. Haven't heard the Beyer, but lots of experience with the Samson. A2D in the Samson is pretty impressive.
