Best VCR for transfer from PC

Price is a factor. I checked out Consumer Reports and they recommend the Toshiba W-727, $100, or the Sony SLV-N55, $90. I'm also looking for a DVD player, but I'm wary about buying a combo unit. Any opinions? Thanks!

i just bought a no name dvd player at costco, cost me $60. i can almost play anything plus dvd-r, cd-r, cdrw, mp3......you name it :D
i have friends spending hundred of dollars for a brand name player, but guess what? it doesnt play all area dvd.

its called electronica or something, cant remember the exact name.
i live in canada, i dont know if they sell it in state and other area or not.
dont let the price fool you, i am totally happy with this dvd player, good quality with all the fuctions.
go for it!
for a VCR, i would go for a JVC(Victor in japan). do a search on their web. www.jvc.com
