Better Scripting Reference ???

What are all your opinions on a better Vegas Scripting reference? I have looked at sample code on this forum and elsewhere and at the language glossary but still do not feel complete.

Is it advisable to get a .net book like O'Rielly's '.NET Framework Essentials'?

Are there any plans on a vegas scripting book?

I have extensive programming experience but have found it hard to really become competent just using examples and the dictionary defining all the objects.

My goal is to take a folder of clips on the harddrive, load each clip, calculate its length and put them together on the timeline with both edits between them and effects applied to them based on their duration. I also want to do a heavy amount of single frame edits between multiple clips into a final timeline.

I can vision how this would all work but again don't feel the documentation i've looked at really helps, especially with debugging it.

Thanks in advance,

Bob Cudmore

Not sure how helpful that would be. I've never read it.

I thought about it. Even wrote the first few chapters but got sidetracked. Plus, I wasn't sure how accepted/wanted it would be.

This sounds doable. Would these be tasks beneficial to lots of people or just you? I'm compiling tasks for another script similar to Excalibur. If beneficial, I might write it for inclusion in that script.
