BEWARE!!!! Vegas installation may corrupt Premiere 5.1

For what's it's worth department:

I've tried several installs of Vegas Pro. Each time, Premiere 5.1a
becomes corrupted. I've even started fresh with an nstallation of
NT4. After installing Vegas, Premiere can't load all of its plug-ins
and it crashes.

I thought at first, the corruption might come from the
Internet Explorer v5.0 installation on the Vegas Pro CD ROM, but no, I
have installed ie5 separately from another source and it doesn't
affect the operation of Premiere 5.1a.

I'm running NT 4.0 service pack 5 with the DPS PVR video system
installed on a Supermicro mobo (P6DNF).

I can say that Vegas Pro does not seem to corrupt Premiere 5.1a if
the NTSC PVR cards are not installed in the system.

This is what I've learned after 20+ hours of frustration. Any
insights?

Thanks,
Larry
