Hello,
I am amazed by the way people generously give their time in helping me on my retirement project which is to become reasonably proficient with Vegas pro 11. Thanks to all.
This time I am having difficulty with the bezier mask. I can create the mask ok but I cannot master how to start and stop the effect within the timeline of the clip.I have read the help topic of creating keyframes but I just don't seem to get the hang of it. Does anyone have any simple tips to try and make the penny drop, please?

JohnJ -

I suggest you watch a video called - "mastering keyframing techniques".
This video can be found on the Sony training page. Click the "support tab"
on Sony's main page and then click the "training tab". Look for the Webinars title
area and then page down to find the "mastering keyframing techniques" video.
Gary Rebholz does a very good job of explaining how to use keyframing.

After you build your mask set a keyframe. Copy the keyframe your just made and move the cursor in the keyframe controller box to a new time and then paste the keyframe. Next, move the curson to the right and add a new keyframe. Next, right click the keyframe you just added and select "reset mask". This technique should give you a start and end point for your mask.

Robert.

Thanks very much for you help, I seem to have cracked it now. Sorry to be so long getting back to you but I have been away and of course it took a while to assimilate the video. Thanks again.
