Bezier Masks

I have been using these since they first appeared in Vegas, around version 6, I believe. But, there is one thing I have never figured out and I must be too stupid to understand the help file. I've always managed to get them to work but I'm not sure how.

When I draw a mask on a track, and then want to move the WHOLE mask to a new point further down the T/L - how do you do it? I can move individual nodes, but I want to grab the whole mask and slide it across the screen and for some reason I can never get it to work. What am I missing? Sometimes I can do it but I've never figured out how I got to that point.

Hi Opampman,

Normal cursor should be selected (not add or delete node) and right click on path will offer you select/deselect path. Then move your coursor over mask (node or lane) and check if all nodes are marked as yellow. If yes, you can drag and drop mask to new location with left click.

I would be nice feedback for me, if you can check, how smoothness work for you it this case (just keframes on MASK timeline).

Best regards,

Thanks - I guess what I was doing wrong is not making sure all nodes were selected - unless I did it by accident. It works fine and keyframes work correctly also. Smoothness is fine but with irregular movement in the frame you need to create multiple keyframes to match the screen movement.
