BIG problem

When im editing a video it looks fine but when i try to
render or save it as an mpeg or anyother kind of file it
stretches it really tall and its all distorted and ive
tried almost everything to fix it! everything works great
except for that!

On Video Capture's video menu, it should read "Microsoft DV
Camera and VCR". Is that not the case? Did you install
any other DV drivers, for say another video editing program?
