Would it be possible to post a screen shot?

1. Try pressing ALT+D, then 1 to see if that returns everything to where it was.
Failing that, hold CTRL+SHIFT while booting Vegas

Try going into "Preferences" General and unchecking "enable windows xp theme support "

It happens here occasionally. Usually some app is resetting the Windows Theme to a modofied theme. Resetting it back thru Windows Control Panel Display also cures it. Now to find out what app is doing it. Pinnacle Liquid Edition is notorius for changing stuff without telling you.
