Be sure you have the latest ASPI layer from Adaptec. You will need to reboot after installing it. Also make certain you have the CD-A version g update. Then read this link from the SF knowledge base:

Did you try the advice in the FAQ, using Advanced under Select Drive? Do you have the CD Architect 4.0G update installed?

I don't know if the ASPI advice is gonna be the solution. You can't install Adaptec's ASPI update unless you already have an Adaptec product-software like Easy CD Creator or an Adaptec SCSI interface card. Do you have either?

"im thinking its a CD Architect mess up cause i my CD Burner is bein recongnized by my other burning program.. just not CD Archtect... help :-)"

Glad you can :-) after writing that. Your reasoning is flawed here. CD Architect was written WAY before Win2K was, and your "other burning software" perhaps was updated to work in that OS. Apples and Oranges anyway.

If all well intended advice fails, you may want to consider setting up your system to dual-boot. In other words, go into Win 98 sometimes, to use CD Architect. Do not ask me how to do that though, cuz there is plenty of info on the net on this subject.
