I live in California but spent a good deal of time down there for a former employer. Nice area. What's the name of your minor league hockey team?

Hey, how's WNYI-TV doing these days? I used to do work on that closet in a garage. :)

WNYI-TV is in Syracuse (I think) and its signal does not reach Binghamton, even by cable, and sorry to say, I am not a hockey fan and have no idea what they call the local franchise. It has changed several times. This is Broome County and my favorite name, no longer being used, was The Broome Dusters.

I am hoping there might be enough local interest to start an in person user's cross-consulting group.

Syracuse here. Our local group is CNYPVA (Central New York Professional Videograhers Association). Prizm Video from Binghamton is a current member. We have a few Vegas users in the group.

No, It's in Ithica, within walking distance if Ithica College. EBC of Syracuse owns it (the owners sold WNYI-Ithica, WNGS-Springville (Buffalo) & KWWF-Waterloo all to EBC).

I'm just wondering how it's doing because I used to work for the old owners & did some work at that (crappy) station. :)

I've heard of Prizm here in Ithaca, but don't know of any local work they do. I know we have someone in our county who does a lot for National Geographic. Maybe that's them.

As for any broadcasting, outside of the colleges, there are none. (And judging from what we get on the community access channel, that's probably a good thing...)
