Black bar on screen, watermark or bug?

I'm using chroma key (black) to make a video transparent but every time I do there's a black bar randomly in the same spot every time. It's happened with images as well with the black bar in the same spot. Is this a way of vegas telling me I'm using copyrighted content? Or is there just some bug I'm unaware of..

EDIT: I'm also very new to video editing so laymans terms would be appreciated!

Definitely not copy protection, Vegas doesn't care what content you're editing, but Youtube might if you upload it, of course. Probably just something off in the project setup.

You must have inadvertently selected an area on Preview in the FX Bypassed and must be working with this option enabled on Preview. Disable the "split screen view".

Awesome! SO basically if I had rendered the project that black bar wouldn't have been there? I thought about testing this but would rather just learn what the issue was and solve it.

Thank you very much friends 👍
