Black frames in render and preview, please help

I've been working on a project for school for a number of weeks and have been trying to get the video done. I'm using the Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 12 and used a Sony Handycam to record the footage. When I uploaded the videos to my computer I reviewed them, no problems. Later while editing random spots of black randomly appear. If I close the software or replace the video in the Project Media tab the black spots change where they are in the timeline. I have a layer of text which isn't affected by this problem. When I render I get the black spots as well.

This bug is slowing my production. I've tried other solutions like the Options-> preferences-> Close media files when not the active application-> uncheck "Fix" but it doesn't work. I'm working with a 1920x1080 60fps video.

You should have posted this problem in the Vegas Movie Studio forum--this is the Vegas Pro forum. Having said that, try disabling your GPU and always save and close your project, exit Vegas, then re-start and reload your project before rendering.
