I'm having problems getting VV3 to render a video from still image sequences to avi/DivX or mpg. Whenever I try now it works fine until frame 5-600 (never the same frame each time). But then it starts to render all black frames until it's finished (~1900 frames). This happens both with avi and mpg output, and probably others as well(?).
The stills are 640x480 png files generated from a 3D app (trueSpace).
The PC is an AThlon 1.33GHz with 512MB DDR RAM and a Radeon AIW card.
I'm running Win98SE/Norwegian.
I have reasonably fast IDE drives (7200rpm), but when rendering to a movie it shouldn't really be a problem anyway, as there is no need for VV3 to rush it so much that it drops frames, or whatever it is that causes it.
I complained earlier about problems with using avi/DivX for source media in VV3, and then I was told to always use single images instead. The problems I had with DivX was quite similar to the problems I now have with stills, ie black frames starting at a "random" frame.
