OK, so as directed by Dithermaster.
I rendered some 24PA footage shot with DVX to an
uncompressed 23.976 .avi file for use in AE
That looked fine but I also
imported the original 24PA file
into AE. The rendered file blacks
are slightly lighter than the blacks
in the original file. Is AE adding
somekind of set-up? Or is VV4 adding some set-up?
I did a 24P DVD test from Vegas and those blacks
look fine - just like the captured footage.
I am shooting with 7.5 set-up and pedestal -8
to give me RGB Black level of 16.
Short of just manually adjusting each
file I might use in AE is there something
else to look for?
