I have tried to render out a project (on the 8 core system) that gives me "black" frames. On the timeline with the original source footage there are no gaps or frozen frames (I'll explain in a minute). However, when I render out the file to M2T using the Bluray Template for 25mps 1440x1080 60i with the slider all the way to the right for quality I get places where on the timeline, if I play through it, the audio cuts out and the picture freezes. If I then burn that to disc, those portions display as gaps or black frames with the audio missing. The gaps are about a half of second long or less but if several are close by it gives a strobe effect when watching it. They do not move but occur at the same places when I scrub. I am currently rendering out the same project on another system to see if it has something to do with that particular system. The original footage was HDV shot at 1080i. I thought it might have been some plugins I was using (velvet matter and some sony plugins) but I removed them and allowed for no recompression on the majority of the footage (except for fades) and the problem still existed. The gaps do not occur on event ends or original scene endings, but in the middle of scenes. During capture no dropped frames where detected. Again, the original timeline does not display this problem. The resulting M2T file does and when I rendered a mpg file using the DVDA template it did the same thing in the same places as the rendered M2T file.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I have about an hour or so left on the encoding on the other system. We will see how it fairs.
