We need to know the format of the audio, where it was created, etc.

It was created in Logic pro X. It is a simple stereo wav file, 45 seconds, recorded at 48/24bit.

I might not be able to help much but check one other thing. Are the vegas audio properties set to 48/24bit? And make sure you are using the correct Audio Device under properties.

Thanks David for trying.....yes they are set at 48k....makes no sense. Hopefully someone will have an idea.

When I move it to 16 bit I do not get the blasts. So its resolved but I am not sure why?

I have the same problem with 48k/24bit WAV-files. This seems to be a VEGAS problem with older versions as well. I don't know, why they can't fix it. To move to 16bit is not a solution - only a work-a-round! If I want to stay in 24bit, I have to safe my files as AIFF, which is a work-a-round as well, not a solution!

I hope they address this...soon!
