Blending two clips

Roger Bansemer wrote on 9/3/2022, 3:52 PM

There was a transition or FX somewhere in Vegas where it was possible to take one clip and split it just to take out a few unwanted frames and then Vegas would interpolate the few frames in between so it didn't look like a jump cut. Can anyone point me to that effect?

Thanks.

Overlap them slightly (I usually do about 4 frames) and use the Warp transition. Try the different settings to see which one looks best for your case.

Just mark the few unwanted frames with a time selection and use the smart split function/button or alt+S.

Thank you for the reply's. After seeing both posts I googled a tutorial on it and both are right. The "Smart Split" was the one I was trying to remember but just couldn't, but after watching the tutorial the smart split adds the warp flow. I knew about warp flow but didn't realize they were identical. Thanks again for your reply's.

At 1:45 below the Vegas video says as much.

The video is for VEGAS Pro 17. That is a Magix version.
