I don't know why people still bother with DVD or Blu Ray players and more when all you need to do it buy a media player instead. I know I'm going to get trolled here for saying that but media players are the better way to go with less hassles. You can still make use of a menu system which the media players read and play like the player would, but that just me I guess.

In my case, I work on a liveaboard dive boat and I make a weekly trip video. A DVD has always been the delivery format because it's the lowest common denominator for my guests. Starting in December I'll start offering a choice of BD or DVD. I could list the reasons why I don't give out a media file, but suffice it to say the DVD or BD is best for me and works well for the majority of my guests.

In June I bought an external BD burner similar to this:

I haven't used it extensively, but it worked well with my initial BD-RW tests. DVD-A didn't like it, however, so I switched to making an ISO in DVD-A and BurnAware (or free ImgBurn) like the ISO just fine.
