Blu-Ray size

So I know DVD Architect can't render to discs larger than 50gb for Blu-Ray in-program, but is it possible to render out an ISO bigger than 50gb to write separately on a BD100gb in order to maintain visual quality w/the amount of content I have on the disc? I'm not too familiar w/these forms of formatting, and couldn't find an answer anywhere else.

I don't know the answer but suspect it is no. DVDA prepares an iso to match the Project Properties. There doesn't appear to be any way of making the Project Properties larger than 50gb double layer.

I was wondering the same thing recently but with the aim of playing back high bit rate .ISOs in PowerDVD instead of burning to BD discs at a lower bit rate. I bunched together a whole lot of UHD .mp4 files to make a 5h 20m project and got a 3rd party NLE to do a quick render to MPEG-2 (the NLE didn't have .AVC as a render choice). In DVDA 6.0, that MPEG-2 render was placed on the timeline and a random .ac3 5.1 audio track added. Using Optimize Disc, the default video bit rate was set to 32,493 Mbps which turned the Disc Space Used indicator red (bottom RH corner of DVDA) and the space used was shown as being 80.2 GB. Prepare in Make Blu-ray Disc was engaged and DVDA chugged away for over 4 hours rendering the DVDA project to an .ISO file.

It worked. The .ISO project is just under 66 GB in size and plays (random spot tested) in PowerDVD20.

I'm not sure why the .ISO is smaller in size than DVDA's size indicator, but that seems to usually be the case - the final .ISO render has historically been smaller than the size indicator with single layer BD projects.
