Creating a Blu Ray disc. I rendered all of my files in Vegas pro 12 mpeg 2 for blu ray 24p. I have 22 gig of data on a 25 gig disc. This is a wedding with many pieces of video. Got all my menus set and want to burn a test disc. Right now it is showing 14 hours to completion. I don't get it.

This Is pretty much an impossible workflow.

AMD 4 core processor.

It is a probable scenario and could not be far off. I have very powerful systems and render to Blu-ray for a 15 minute runtime output with some menus included that would take 1 hour to prepare and 40 minutes to burn. Those should be separate steps -NOTE.

So given that formula it would take 4 times as long to prepare a 55 minute runtime output - or likely 6.5 hours total time to create one disk.

Note that creating a process on a PC where you incur an estimated lengthy process is just not a great idea. The process will be prone to dying and also will be usually incorrect for estimation given the OS tools that are used to produce estimates.

Ok so it ended up taking 2 hours and 38 minutes. So I burned a second it took 40 minutes just to burn.

Still seems like a long time. If I needed 10 copies for a project that's 6.5 hours.
