Blue Effects will not install. Smartsound plugin where??

pka4916 wrote on 2/22/2017, 4:32 PM

PC wants to reboot in the middle of the installation of the Blue Effects.

Once rebooted, i need to restart the installer, and it will install, then i see errors about missing keys, and it's uninstalling the product seem like it ??

Also, since i already had Smartsound 6, i just downloaded the plugin, and installed.

But don't see an option anywhere in the program? Where is it located ?

ok found it.

Once I buy the full version of platinum, is the plugin registered as well, or do i still need to buy the plugin from Smartsound?

and about the Blue Effects? All I have is a tittle editor and nothing else.

For the Smartsound plugin you have to buy de suite version of Vegas Movie Studio 14 and for The New Blue stuff you must ask them yourself because I don't install that rubbish anymore.

Cornico - out of interest what do you find bad about New Blue. Although I have them installed I've yet to use them but I wasn't aware they were not good. Sony/Magix dropped Magic Bullets with MS13 and now Magix have dropped Boris with MS14 just leaving HitFilm and NewBlue.

Those NB installations makes a mess on my hardware. They pop-up in every Vegas version ( Pro and Studio), sometimes one or two will work, most of the time and most asking me to buy them, because they are not activated.

That all was to overcome , but the titler that came with Pro 14 was for me the limit. After a lot of installations, deïnstallations a.s.o. this titler was working now and then but was also many times crashing itself or Vegas.

So I bought the whole deal, and I seem to only have the Title Editor.

Getting some errors during install according to the log. about registry keys not found etc.

But where are the video effects?

Also no Transitions? while they are included in other package? I thought Platinum would have everything.

------

NEW: Includes NewBlueFX 3D title editor and video effects

NEW: Includes NewBlueFX transitions

I see them by select the windows Video FX and Transitions in View/Window and then click on their taps. I have these

I'll have to check when i get home. pretty sure i didn't see those.

Did you get errors as well during install? about some registry keys, and then it removed a bunch of files?

Cornico wrote on 2/23/2017, 11:02 AM

Thats normal at any NB installation.

pka4916 wrote on 2/23/2017, 3:30 PM

Yep. I don't have those Blue ones.. the only one I have is the Title one

pka4916 wrote on 2/23/2017, 3:34 PM

The password for newbluevegasmoviestudio14patinumcomplete (Phwew!) supplied in the email was very short and didnt work - all the others were fine. Anyone know how i can get a new password?

Anyone able to confirm, if this is correct what I posted, or if I am missing what Cornico posted

Thank you

ok the Studio only had 8 effects and the title thing... so all the other effects that the other poster showed doesn't belong to the studio version..

@pka4916 You're correct! No NB transitions are included with the Suite (see product comparison - this has also been confirmed by Magix in the forum). See FX listed here for what's included.

Also, I have always been impressed with NewBlue. Their customer service is outstanding, the FX are easy to use. The new Titler is fantastic as well (I use the full version). They also have easy to follow video tutorials.

Correct, that's the info they told me from their support. Guess the image from the other user threw me off here.

Thanks for clarififying that - I see now that the transitions aren't included on the product comparison sheet. I just assumed the Suite got everything that Platinum got but clearly not.

Thanks again
