What are the exact colors for blue and green screens; i.e., the four color numbers -- 255, 075, 37? What are they? There must be an industry standard for these two colors so it is easy to match. I have looked everyway and have come up empty.
The problem is that there are no "exact" numbers because there are too many variables, mainly lighting.
Are you looking to go to a paint store and buy the equivalent colour?
If all you want to do is generate a green screen electronically, here's a reply form a post to the rec.video.production NG. The poster runs a company selling green/bluescreen hardware and software so he does know what he's talking about.
Q:
I want to make some titles in Photoshop and wanted to make the
backgrounds in a blue or green chroma key for easy matting. What are
the RGB equivalents for either of these chroma key colors??
A:
Blue 20,20,180
Green: 20,180,20
No need to get more saturated than that, and the 20 value in the other colors tends to give you a bit more luminance, which helps with edges.
If I've misuinderstood what you're looking for, please say so.
I'm reminded of the saying that begins "Ours is not to reason why...".
Someone asks a question - I answer it. Sometimes, I figure I'm better off not asking. :-)
