Blue "mute" Line on Audio Track

Somehow I have activated something that put a blue line along an entire audio track. It makes it impossible to adjust the volume all along the track--the volume is stuck at maxium. Hovering over the line "mute" pops up.

What is this feature and how do you de-activate it?

It is the mute envelope. You can add nodes to it to mute sections of the track.

R Click the track header, select Envelopes and uncheck "Mute"

Blue sound more like Volume Envelope. Click on track and push V to get rid of it !

There's also the 'event gain', which is another blue line (w/event not selected), though thinner than the Volume envelope. The volume envelope's line color can be changed in the 'Options> Preferences> Display' menu, that others can't, AFAIK.
