Blue Ray validating error - 'PG_language_code'

mik-bakunin wrote on 10/25/2023, 12:47 PM

Hello all,

I'm trying to compile a blu ray and towards the end of the encoding process I encounter the following error message:

An error occurred while preparing compilation.

File name: N/A
Status: MUXComp:Validating error. --- The 'PG_language_code' element has an invalid value according to its data type.

I'm not finding much info about this particular message, but I reckon that the language code might be connected to the subtitles in the project.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

@mik-bakunin  ... see if this forum post about the same error back in 2019 is of any help:

In that post, the BD problem was solved by changing the subtitle language.

Please note that DVD Architect is now a discontinued product so it would be unrealistic to expect any updates for DVDA.

Thanks for the link, @Dexcon. It proved very helpful!

It was in fact one of the subtitle tracks that was causing the error message - Some bug within DVDA apparently. The solve turned out to be changing the language name to unspecified on the subtitle track. Shame not to have the language name on the in the subtitle selection, but certainly beats not being able to compile the project.

Thanks again!
